This comes from Junior Designer Melanie Bostwick's blog. It's from another resource which goes unidentified but it makes a visual impact which could lend itself, it's concept, to the MODA project "Love Nest" if you are thinking about using a heart image in your design. What about your type and image carved into a tree and then photographed? Or perhaps spray painted onto a surface and photographed? What if you took a group of cameras that range from old to new and photograph them for the design since the is how is about photography. Seems like an obvious direction to me.
An Exhibition of photography and personal momentos.
Below are photographs from Jack Pierson, Robert Mapplethorpe,Starn Twins, and John Dugdale that evoke a certain romance or love without showing a Heart. Think about photography.
Think about process. Think about doing something out of the ordinary.
Think about this exhibition as ART and then design around that.
Below: Look at what the Gap did with the color RED and the image of some celebrity wearing a Gap Tshirt. It's sexy, smart and designed beautifully.
Below: Jack Pierson did an incredible collage or images that related to his subject matter for his exhibition. Color/Texture and thought evoking.

Below: Mapplethorpe creates beauty from male sculpture photographed in profile. The photography is the momento of possession.

Below: John Dugdale imagery which evokes beauty, caring, love and symbol.
